Hangovers and Deadlines

Long time no blog, apologies for that. Chasing a deadline and being too hung over or plain lazy on the weekends :-)

Anyway, a quick recap of what I remember of the two last weeks;

Last weekend we had the first spring day since I moved to London, 15 degrees and sun. Amazingly I did not wake up with a hangover and Frenty managed to get me running along the Thames to start the day off. Panting and sweating like a fat German I returned home to recover after having to walk half the distance. Quite the athlete.

Fortunately, the rest of the day contained more pleasurable activities such as burgers, pints and football. Mr Bogos guided to the White Horse, Britains best pub in -06, and then we proceded to the Aragorn House to refuel. Pure class.

Magically, neither the Saturday included heavy drinking so I had a Sunday full of energy to spend which is, to say the least, rare. I spent it where I have spent far too much time lately, in the office. My first deadline is coming up tomorrow night and I actually have a shot at making it.

While on the job subject then; we are moving to the Headquarters in a few weeks, which for me means that my time to work will be reduced to 3 minutes door to door. Quite a lucky break :-)

This week then, a bit easier to remember. Football-wise very interesting; The mighty reds triumphs in Europe but shot themselves in the foot at home. And today Manc Wank won the Carling Cup...

Booze-wise this week has been pretty good given that CL was Wednesday so there was a bonus night out right there. Friday I was supposed to go to the gym. Then my colleague comes back from a one month trip to the middle east. Poor man did not have a drink for a month... Of course we went for a few...

The amount of beers drunk Friday did in no way reflect the hangover I got Saturday. Horrible. Worse was that I had to drag my sorry arse to work to do an interview. Walking in my terrible little bubble to the tube was bad enough, having to pass an idiot street musician playing the saxophone in the tube station was hell. No tip there.

Finally made it to work after a well needed coffee break at Nero's. Had to breathe at one of the assistants to make sure I did not reak of booze. Then did the interview smoking with the candidate outdoors, fortunately he was Russian. He signed :-)

When I finally made it out of the hangover it was time to gear up for the birthday party of my boss. Mr Bogos and I prepared well at the builders arms, took a pit stop at PJs (it is an 8 minute walk) and then arrive in good shape. Today I have understood that I have quite a few blanks from last night. Will try to keep a low profile Monday. Not likely to work at all but worth a shot.

Well, that is pretty much it. Thursday my European tour begins with almost a week in Paris, should be a good week and quite possibly a roaring Saturday in company of Mr Biis, a Finnish class drunk. Hope to be able to update you rather frequently on the month long trip's progress

Well, time to down the pint and log off, have a great week!
